The cottage is situated in the south east parish of Deerness with its Mull Head Nature Reserve and archaeological site at Mine Howe to whet your appetite.
The well stocked village shop is 5 minutes away, the Quoyburray Inn excellent for bar meals just 10 minutes away and picnics at the beautiful sandy beaches at Newark Bay or Dingieshowe 1 mile away - all contribute to relaxing and enjoying the island atmosphere.
For a little extra activity the capital of Kirkwall with the magnificent St Magnus Cathedral can be reached in 20 minutes.
